Although you might not have heard of him before, Mark Ling is one of the world’s bona fide super affiliates. His can-do attitude and ability to create alternatives where none existed before are two reasons why he has been one of Clickbank’s highest earners for a number of years. Thanks to his unique approach to marketing he is now becoming a legend in his own right. But who is he and is there a Mark Ling scam?

In the Beginning ….. the Student Pizza Boy …..

I know that the whole ex-pizza delivery boy and student turned millionaire sounds like a Mark Ling scam, I mean come on, it just doesn’t happen does it? Well, actually in this case it does.

Marks career began back in 1999 when he was delivering pizzas to help pay for his tertiary education. His friend Charlie casually mentioned that he had made $50 a week selling posters via a banner advertisement on the internet. Remember, back in 1999 the internet was still relatively new and its potential for making money was only just beginning to be acknowledged. Never the less the pair began to set up a Geocities site that sent people to another site which sold posters. Charlie concentrated on sports posters, Mark began to concentrate on posters of celebrities and was soon equalling Charlie’s $50.

Mark Ling then learned how to expand on the business so that he could build sites faster and target more people and it wasn’t long before he was able to ditch the day job delivering pizza’s, rent a house for him and his team with nearly 500 computers to work from and focus his energy and income into creating more of these sites. This was all done between university classes of course!

Mark soon learnt the immense power of ‘rinse and repeat’ and he was soon one of the fore runners of the growing internet industry.

Jump Forward to 2011

Moving on from those early days of poster selling, Mark Ling has become a name synonymous with affiliate marketing in many forms. Wherever there was a site, Mark became an affiliate of it and learned how to promote it. From dog training to learning Spanish, video games and even saving relationships. The up and coming Google Adwords was a challenge that Mark faced enthusiastically and he soon mastered it with amazing results. He also recognized the potential of new social tools like YouTube and Facebook and embraced them as a part of the new era in online marketing opportunities. Unlike other marketers there is no Mark Ling scam with the use of these social media sites and all his dealing online are completely above board and are focussed on building relationships with participants, rather than spamming them constantly.

In 2008 Mark Ling started to share the secrets to his success with the world at large with the 12 week all inclusive AffiloBlueprint coaching series, soon after he launched his free membership Affilorama internet marketing hub containing his blog, tips, tools and forum.

As a part of his dedication to teaching others, Mark has also developed tools to help the new and advanced marketer alike to save them time, give them detailed research and help them with their PPC and SEO efforts. Traffic Travis is an example of a free tool that is invaluable for internet marketing, but many more can be found at his Affilorama site. As his reputation grows Mark has also been invited to present seminars and lectures globally including the famous Affiliate Summit at Las Vegas.

Although Mark Ling is becoming well known for his services to affiliate marketers and the tools to help them succeed, his core business and income remains firmly with affiliate marketing through his own non-IM related sites and products. This way he continues to experience what it is like for marketers as times change and he can give fellow marketers the most up to date advice possible. If he were running a Mark Ling scam he would not be able to do that, in fact he would not have survived online for as long as he has!

Mark Ling lives in Christchurch, New Zealand with his wife and son and with all his achievements this early on in life Mark Ling will certainly be a name to watch for in the future!
